As a Human-Centered Design Consultant I can help you integrate Service & UX Design Thinking and Methods into your organization, while supporting internal capacity building and change processes.

Design Research

My Design Research Services encompass User Research/UX Research and secondary research, such as Trend and Competitor Research. User Research helps you to understand the needs of your customers. Through observations, interviews and co-creation it is possible to identify opportunities for product/service innovation and customer experience improvement.

Typical methods and tools: contextual interview, design ethnography, diary study, field observation, co-creation, service safari, analysis of quantitative user data, personas (user profiles), experience map, opportunity map, competitor benchmark analysis

IDEATION & DESIGN

My ideas and design proposals are strongly grounded in research. Concrete visualizations. like wireframes and prototypes, are crucial for thinking and designing services and interfaces from the user’s point of view. Abstract visualizations like user flows and site maps help to effectively communicate with developers.

Typical methods and tools: idea generation with creativity techniques, concept development, pen and paper sketch, customer journey map, user journey & story map, service blueprint, wireframe, experience prototyping, paper prototyping, interactive prototyping, site map, user flow

UX Evaluation

Prototypes and existing products/services can be tested and evaluated with respect to their usefulness, usability, and attractiveness both by experts and by users. Typically, expert reviews and user tests complement each other. Evaluations throughout the design cycle enable the quick identification of opportunities for improving the customer experience.

Typical methods and tools: user testing, thinking aloud protocol, rapid prototyping, expert review, UX audits, heuristic evaluation, cognitive walkthrough, service safari, desktop walkthrough, card sorting, desirability toolkit, A/B testing, usability benchmark (success measurement), etc.
